The first step in care-giving is to accept the fact that there is someone “there”
Quite often I hear someone say, “Mom left us years ago.” Aside from the fact that it kind of implies that it was a conscious act to leave, it prompts a question. If she left, who is there?
I think her artwork helps answer that question.
Who is there?
A person with something to remarkable to share
A person living with creativity and joy
A person well worth getting to know
And if you allow yourself to let go of the person who used to be and embrace the wonderful person who is with you now, I guarantee you, you will be glad you did.
